This notebook takes in outage information data, alongside meter measurement data to calculate the impact outages have had on energy consumption for all customers affected by outages over a certain period of time. The analysis can be performed for an individual outage or multiple over time.
From the point where an outage occurred, time-series data is gathered from each downstream meter to calculate the unserved energy due to the outage and can be used to calculate the resulting lost revenue to the utility. Outages can be ranked in terms of severity and other factors. This helps in future outage prevention prioritization and a deeper understanding of outage impacts.
